The North County Service Center was established by the Palm Beach County Chapter Board of Directors in 1982 in a small office in Jupiter. The office moved to Prosperity Farms Road in Palm Beach Gardens and remained there until August 1998. In September of 1998 we moved to 9121 N. Military Trail. In June of 2008 we relocated back to Jupiter at our present location, 2074 W. Indiantown Rd.
Northern Palm Beach County is the fastest growing area in the county. The North County Service Center is proud to be a part of this growth. North County includes Jupiter, Tequesta, Juno Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Lake Park, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Shores and Riviera Beach. Due to the increasing population and diversity of North County, we look to be responsive to the varying needs of the community.
A Manager and Special Events Coordinator in partnership with volunteers, are responsible for operating the service center facility, programs and services.
The North County Angels whose mission it is to promote and publicize the services of the American Red Cross, to raise funds and to educate the members in the many aspects and operations of the American Red Cross. The Angels put on two grand events each year, the luncheon/ fashion show in January and the Madhatters Lunch in April.
North County has approximately 200 Red Cross volunteers donating their time and energy in various capacities, including:
- Teaching life-saving Health and Safety Training Classes
- Responding to local house fires/disasters by serving on the Disaster Action Team(DAT)
- Coordinating large events such as the North County Angels Luncheons and Heroes Campaign.
- Delivering speaking engagements at local community events/fairs on a variety of topics such as Fire Safety, Hurricane Preparedness and Health and Safety.
- Serving in a leadership role on the North County Advisory Council.
We continue to strive to become more visible and a vital force in the community.
